NCRI’s Rajavi condemns shedding of innocent people’s blood under any pretext

Armed assailants stunned Iran on Wednesday morning in the near-simultaneous assault which lasted for hours, claimed over 17 lives and left scores of people injured.

The brazen attacks on the parliament building and the tomb of Khomeini, the regime’s supreme leader, clearly took the elite security forces by surprise, shattering the self-proclaimed image of calm in a turbulent region.

Condemning the attacks, Maryam Rajavi, The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) President-elect said:“ISIS’s conduct clearly benefits the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Khamenei, who wholeheartedly welcomes it as an opportunity to overcome his regime’s regional and international impasse and isolation.”

The Iranian people continue to suffer under the hand of repressionby the hard-line mullahs who run the country, but were dealt a further blow in two separate attacks from ISIS.

“The founder and the number one state sponsor of terror is thus trying to switch the place of murderer and the victim and portray the central banker of terrorism as a victim.” added Mrs. Rajavi.

According to Reuters in a report from inside Iran, The Islamic State has claimed responsibility of the attack, with the caliphate’s news agency, Aamaq releasing a 24 sec video purportedly shot inside the parliament complex showing one body, apparently dead and on the floor, next to a desk.

According to Interior Ministry, the first attack, which targeted the Khomeini shrine, was staged by two people who entered the mausoleum at around 10:30 am. One of them, a woman, blew up her vest while the second assailant was killed in a fire exchange with security forces.

The second group, which attacked the highly secured parliament complex, was composed of four people, marking the first attack on Iran soilfrom the Islamic State.

In a statement attributed to White House, US. President Trump condemned the evil terroristic acts and reiterated that the country had fallen victim her own misdeeds.

“We grieve and pray for the innocent victims of the terrorist attacks in Iran, and for the Iranian people, who are going through such challenging times. We underscore that states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote.”

The attacks aftermath was also punctuated by new acrimony Washington and Tehran with Iran President HassaniRouhani claiming that the “incidence was not unexpected”, while JavadZarif, the Foreign Minister Mohammad described the American response as “repugnant.”

The Iranian hard-liners will capitalize on this unfortunate incidence to inflict more terror and persecution on its people, justify their military engagements in the region, galvanize more public support for involvements in Syria.

“After 38 years of brutal suppression, executions and incarceration, the people of Iran will not be satisfied by anything less than freedom, democracy, and popular sovereignty,” said Rajavi.

The NCRI president-elect added, “The Iranian Resistance has always maintained that the Iranian people and Resistance have the responsibility to overthrow the religious, dictatorship ruling Iran and to dismantle all institutions and symbols of suppression and repression. We, therefore, call for an end to the policy of appeasing the mullahs’ regime and recognizing the just resistance of the Iranian people.”

According to the NCRI, the best way to get rid of terrorism from the region The IRGC must be designated as a terrorist outfit, The IRGC and paramilitary proxies of the Khamenei caliphate must be removed from Syria, Iraq, and Yemen and The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) must expel the mullahs’ regime and recognize the Iranian Resistance for ending religious fascism.
