Iran’s Foreign Minister’s Purported Second Wife Accused of Espionage

The purported second wife of Iran’s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has been accused by Mohammad Hossein, head of Iran’s Center for Electronic Resistance, of “spying for the West”.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Hossein claimed he was about to unveil information that would “cause a political earthquake”, before claiming that Afrin Jit Saaz, Zarif’s second wife, is a spy.

Saaz was arrested alongside three other journalists a few months ago by Iranian security forces for charges of espionage. There is no official information showing that Saaz is Zarif’s second wife.
